Jenny Slawta
Dear Hypoxico,

"I'm a category 2, 45-year old female cyclist, and also an exercise physiologist. I purchased a Hypoxico air chamber over four years ago because was I interested in the effects it may have on hemoglobin levels and performance. Since purchasing the Hypoxico system, my hemoglobin levels have increased and my race results have increasingly improved each year. I currently hold several records on hillclimbs in Oregon and I hold the record on Mt Shasta in northern California. I believe that my improved performances, in part, can be attributed to sleeping at altitude most of the year. This past summer, I raced Mt Evans in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Mt Evans is the highest paved road in the United States. The race starts at 7,540 feet and finishes at 14,264 feet. The climb is 27.4 miles in length. Five weeks prior to the race, I slept and did some training at high altitude. I spent 12-14 hours each day at high altitude during these five weeks. I won the women's race overall beating the top women's pro rider by 30 seconds and set a new course record for the women's 45+ field by 17 minutes. Racing Mt Evans was one of my best and surprisingly comfortable efforts. I experienced no symptoms of altitude mountain sickness. As an exercise physiologist, I was surprised (and pleased) at how effective the Hypoxico system was in helping me prepare to race at high altitude while living close to sea level.

Sincerely,
Jenny Slawta "

Dan Brenden
4 time Grand Slam finisher; 3-time winner of the Last Great Racer

"Running the Leadville 100 mile race is a daunting challenge to any racer when the finishing rate has never been above 54%. This race is especially challenging since I live in phoenix where the elevation is only a few hundred feet. The Leadville Trail run begins at 10,152’ and passes twice over 12,620’ Hope Pass. I work full time as a county attorney so spending a few weeks or even a few days to acclimatize to the higher elevation in Leadville, Colorado is out of the question. I have completed the race without suffering any sympytoms of altitude sickness for the past 4 years thanks to my Hypoxico system. The system allows me a long acclimatization period while not having to miss any work.

Dan Brenden"

Din Thomas
American mixed martial arts fighter

"The Hypoxico high altitude chamber is incredible. I felt as if I was able to get in shape faster than I ever had. Any serious athlete looking to get to the next level definitely needs to get one. It’s like nothing I've never experienced.

Din Thomas"

Richard Wiese
President of the Explorers Club, TV Host and Adventurer

"Just got back from Mexico where I successfully summited and returned from the peak of 17,300ft Iztaccihuatl in three days. The rest of my crew stopped at 13,000ft due to head aches and illness. There is no doubt that normally I would have been in a great deal of pain or unable to accomplish this if I had not trained with my Hypoxico unit.

With thanks,
Richard"

Michael & Matt Conforti
Father and Son climb Kilimanjaro

"My son and I had the experience of a lifetime climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in January of '06. There's no question in my mind that pre-acclimatizing with the Hypoxico air chamber is what allowed us to savor the journey with absolutely no symptoms of altitude sickness, all the way to 19,340ft. The climb was scheduled to take five days (for acclimatization purposes) but we made the decision with our guide to do it in four to beat some bad weather. The fact that we were having no problems with altitude allowed us to reach the summit in four days, avoid the risk of hypothermia and truly have (sorry, I can't resist) a peak experience.

Thanks for everything,
Michael and Matt Conforti"

Mountain climbers

"Anyone making the investment in a trip to Nepal is smart to consider a hypoxic tent, because it will help protect their trip dollars from a loss due to altitude sickness, plus it will make the trip more pleasant since they’ll feel better."

"It’s from Kala Pattar, and I’m standing at an elevation of 18,200 feet, and feel fine."

Dr. Brooke Williams
Recreational Skier

"As I approach 50 I skied longer, hiked higher and enjoyed more bumps than I have in the last 5 years combined. Thanks for really making my vacation fantastic!"

"...I would use your company again with no hesitation and will do so in the future..."

"...when I began my search for a tent system I had a number of places to select from. The reason I selected Hypoxico was because you spent the time on the telephone and email with me making sure I understood the process and equipment. That says a lot about your company...great customer service coupled with a great product is hard to find these days..."

Jorge Merle
Cyclist

"...I’m a category 2 cyclist, 47 years old and for the past 3 years I’ve been having a hard time keeping up in my races, this could have to do with work and my age. I have read a lot about the altitude training and I have even tried to visit locations like Colorado to experience the altitude. Unfortunately I was not there long enough to notice a significant change or any improvement. I decided to buy a Hypoxico tent and I have been using it for 4 weeks. The last week I participated in a race before I began using the tent I was not able to keep up and now after these 4 weeks of using the tent I came in 6th place of a P12 race. I have noticed a significant change in my maximum heart rate and my recovery time. My resting heart rate has also decreased. This is one of the best results I have seen after using the tent and I will be sure and let you know if I get any better ones!

Sincerely,
Jorge Merle"
